Job Description: Body Shop Helper

Title: Body Shop Porter

Location: Bruner GM Collision Center

Position Type: Full-time

Reports to: Body Shop Manager/Supervisor

Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Body Shop Helper/Porter. In this role, you will assist the body shop department with various tasks, including checking in parts, cleaning the shop and cleaning vehicles after repairs are complete. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent manual dexterity, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:
- Check in inventory/parts and keeping parts organized and labeled.
- Perform cleaning tasks, including the removal of dust, dirt, and debris from vehicles' surfaces and interiors.
- Perform cleaning tasks inside of the shop, including sweeping, organizing, removing trash and other cleaning as assigned.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repair projects and maintain high-quality standards.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations regarding auto body repairs and client service.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an auto body shop or related field is preferred, but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety practices and willingness to adhere to them.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Valid driver's license is required.
